Our Farm in Pakistan: A Complete Walkthrough of Where Your Qurbani Begins

Before a single order is placed on QurbaniForUnity.com, before the Early Bird discount goes live, before Eid al-Adha appears on anyone’s calendar, your Qurbani animal is already alive on our farm in Pakistan. It is being fed. It is being monitored. It is being cared for by our team. This is where your Qurbani begins.

This article walks you through our farm, our operations, our animals, and the people behind it all. We believe you deserve to know exactly what you are trusting when you book with us.

What Our Farm Is and What It Is Not

Our farm is not a temporary holding facility set up a few weeks before Eid. It is not a partnership with a local farmer who agrees to hold animals for us during the Qurbani season. It is our land, our infrastructure, and our permanent operation.

We raise goats, sheep, cows, and camels year-round. The animals designated for Qurbani are identified well in advance and separated into lots based on species, age, and quality tier. By the time Eid approaches, every animal has been in our care for long enough that we have a complete record of its health, diet, and development.

This is the foundation on which every claim we make about Shariah compliance and animal quality rests. We can make these claims because we were there. We raised these animals.

Animal Welfare and the Sunnah Standard

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was explicit about the treatment of animals before Qurbani. He instructed that animals should be well-fed, given water, and not be caused unnecessary stress before slaughter. He sharpened the blade before the animal could see it. He performed the slaughter with gentleness and the words Bismillah.

These are not ceremonial details. They reflect a comprehensive Islamic ethic around the treatment of animals that is embedded in our farm practices. Our animals are fed appropriately for their species, given open space, and are not transported over long distances in stressful conditions before slaughter. The health of an animal reflects the care it has received. Our farm is the proof of that care.

The Three Tiers of Animals on Our Farm

When we offer Economy, Standard, and Premium Gold Standard tiers, we are describing real differences in the animals themselves, not just in the package.

TierAnimal TypeFeed and CareSelection Criteria
EconomyGoat, Sheep, Cow Share, Camel ShareStandard farm diet, appropriate for species and ageMeets all Shariah age and health requirements
StandardSame species, larger animalsHigher-quality diet, more space, longer care periodAbove-average condition, better size, more meat
Premium Gold StandardHandpicked best of our stockOrganic-quality feed, individually monitoredOur finest animals, selected by farm manager personally

All three tiers use animals that meet Shariah requirements completely. The difference is in quality, size, and the level of care in raising them. Every animal, regardless of tier, fulfills your Qurbani obligation correctly and completely.

The Slaughter Facility

Our slaughter facility is operated by our own team, separate from the animal enclosures. The Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed that animals should not see the slaughter of other animals. Our facility design respects this guidance.

Slaughter takes place after the Eid prayer on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah. Our team, consisting of trained Muslim men, performs each sacrifice individually. The name of the person for whom the Qurbani is being performed is confirmed before each slaughter begins. Bismillah Allahu Akbar is said clearly. This is not batch processing. This is individual worship, performed one animal at a time. [LINK: /qurbani-slaughter-process]

Distribution Operations

After slaughter, the meat is processed, weighed, and packed. For orders that include the Named Distribution Bag, the bags are pre-labelled with each customer’s name and are waiting for their specific portion. Our distribution team then transports the packaged meat to the communities and families on our distribution list.

Our distribution list is built from our knowledge of the local community in and around our operations in Pakistan. We prioritise families who have limited access to food, including widows, orphans, and the elderly. Distribution happens on the days of Eid al-Adha, within the valid Qurbani window.

Frequently Asked Questions: Our Farm

Can I visit the farm? We currently serve customers primarily from the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia. In-person farm visits are not our standard offering. However, we plan to publish regular farm video content on our website and social media so that customers from anywhere in the world can see where and how their animals are raised.
How do you ensure animals meet the Shariah age requirements? Because we raise our own animals, we know their ages from the time they are brought onto the farm. We maintain records for all animals, and our farm manager confirms age and health status of each before any animal is designated for Qurbani. We do not purchase from markets where age documentation is unreliable.
What happens to the animal hides and other parts after slaughter? Animal hides and non-meat parts are handled according to Islamic guidelines. The hide may be kept, given to the donor’s representatives, donated to a local Islamic institution, or used for charitable purposes. We handle this according to Shariah guidance.
